The Role

The On-Call Food Truck Team Member helps support Houstatlantavegan during:

• Extremely busy days and special events
• When other staff call out unexpectedly
• Seasonal or high-volume shifts

You’ll be cross-trained to work across all truck stations:

• Grill – Cooking Houstatlantavegan’s signature menu items
• Cashier – Greeting customers, taking orders, handling payments, handing out orders
• Prep Cooler – Prepping ingredients, stocking, and assembling dishes, expoditing orders

Responsibilities

• Jump into any station (grill, cashier, prep) as needed
• Maintain quality, speed, and consistency during rushes
• Provide excellent customer service, keeping the Houstatlantavegan vibe strong
• Assist with setup, restocking, cleaning, and closing down the truck
• Work well under pressure and adapt quickly to different roles

What We’re Looking For

• Reliable, punctual, and ready to answer the call when needed
• Positive team attitude — able to jump in wherever support is required
• Experience in food service or hospitality preferred, but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• Must have reliable transportation to our base and selling location (and occasional event sites)

Requirements

• Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Comfortable with lifting up to 40 lbs and working in outdoor conditions
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when called in
